Another great option for customizing t-shirts and other fabric items is using transfer paper, a versatile technique that allows printed designs to be transferred to almost any type of fabric. There are two main types of transfer paper: one for fabrics clear and another for fabrics dark, giving you the flexibility to personalize garments of any color, as long as you choose the right paper.
Advantages of personalizing with transfer paper:
Versatility of fabrics and colors: Depending on the type of transfer paper you use, you can personalize both light and dark garments. This allows you to work with a wide variety of fabrics and colors.
Easy application: The application process is simple: you only need a printer to print the design and an iron or press to transfer it to the fabric.
Unlimited customization: You can use any digital design, giving you complete freedom to create t-shirts with images, photos or texts.
The use of transfer paper is perfect for those looking for a quick and effective way to personalize a wide variety of garments, regardless of their color. It is an ideal option to start your customization business with exclusive designs!

b.- Iron On Vinyl

c.- Laser Machine

The screen printing at home is another great technique for customizing t-shirts and other clothing, and I’ve tried three different methods to achieve this: creating the stencil with adhesive vinyl using Cricut, with Iron-On y Cricut, and using a xTool screen printing machine and laser machine. The best thing about these methods is that you can do them at home, without the need for emulsions or complicated preparation processes, which makes them ideal for entrepreneurs looking to simplify the process.

  1. Stencil with adhesive vinyl and Cricut: This method is perfect for those who want to reuse the mesh to create stencils for future projects. The stencil can be removed after use. The mesh can be washed and stored for use again. The adhesive vinyl is adhered to the screen printing mesh as a stencil, and then the screen printing ink is applied to transfer the design. You don’t need any emulsions or extra steps, just your Cricut and adhesive vinyl. You can watch the video with the complete guide on this method HERE.
  2. Stencil con Iron-On y Cricut: Using iron-on vinyl as a stencil is ideal if you want to reuse the same stencil many times for your customizations. The Iron-On adheres to the mesh with a heat press and is permanent. After using it, you can wash, dry and store the stencil to make more customizations in the future using the same stencil. You can watch the video with the complete guide on this method HERE.
  3. xTool and Laser Screen Printing Machine: This is a more advanced approach, where the laser machine cuts the stencils with high precision. This method allows you to create complex designs more quickly and efficiently, without the need for emulsions. It’s ideal for those looking to customize in high volume or great detail, and you can continue to reuse the stencil countless times. You can watch the video with the complete guide on this method HERE.

Each technique offers different possibilities for those who want to start in the customization business, from simpler options to more advanced processes. Home screen printing is a great way to explore your creativity and offer unique custom products, all from the comfort of your home!

4. Materials

The sublimation It is one of the most popular techniques for personalizing garments, as it allows you to transfer vibrant and long-lasting designs. In this process, the ink turns into a gas when heat is applied, impregnating the fibers of the fabric, resulting in a design that does not peel or wear over time.

It is important to note that sublimation It only works on polyester fabrics and in light or white colors, since the design is integrated directly into the fibers of the fabric. This method is ideal for personalizing t-shirts, mugs, cushions and other products, but is not recommended for dark fabrics or non-synthetic materials.

To carry out sublimation, you will need a printer with special sublimation ink, sublimation paper to transfer the design, and a heat press to press the design onto the garment. This process does not require vinyl or stencils, making it a simple and efficient option for high-quality customizations.

If you want to learn more about sublimation, watch the video with the complete ACA guide.

5. Materials to make Customs with DTF

The technique DTF (Direct to Film) It is one of the most advanced and popular for customizing t-shirts and fabric garments. With DTF, you can customize on almost any type of fabric, regardless of color, making it a versatile option. In addition, this technique allows you to create vibrant and shiny designs that adhere perfectly to garments, providing a long-lasting and professional finish.

The DTF process requires a special printer for DTF, which may be a little more expensive compared to other options, but is ideal for those who already have an established business and want to invest in higher quality equipment to expand their offering. This is an excellent option for entrepreneurs looking to customize in high volume and offer products with complex and detailed designs.

DTF is one of the most popular customization techniques today, as it not only allows you to work with a wide variety of fabrics and colors, but also produces exceptional results in terms of quality and durability.

You can watch the video in more detail about DTF HERE.
