Step 1

Download the pattern, print, cut and join to form a single piece. Grab the 20 by 12 ½ ”Quilt Fill Fabric and the 2 20 by 12 ½” Fabric Pieces. Place the quilt padding on the bottom, and the other two pieces of fabric on top, making sure the right side is facing in.

Line up the pattern on top of the three layers of fabric, secure it with pins, and cut leaving a 3/8 “seam allowance. You can mark with a pencil or washable fabric pen if desired.

Step 2
Remove pattern, pin layers and saw leaving a 3/8 ” seam allowance. After sewing, turn inside out and iron.

Step 3
Now to put the upper part of the Christmas stocking. Grab the piece of fabric that measures 12 “by 18” inches, fold in half lengthwise and iron to create a fold.

Unfold, fold opposite side, pin and sew leaving a 3/8 ” seam allowance.

Fold in half leaving the seam inside.

Turn the stocking inside out and place the top part leaving the seam on the back of the stocking.

Secure with pins and sew leaving a 3/8 ” inch seam allowance.

After sewing, turn inside out and iron.

Fold the top down and voila!

Once finished, you can decorate and personalize them using the method that best suits your needs.

I am customizing using various methods. The first with textile vinyl cut with my Cricut machine. If you would like to know more about how to customize with this method, I recommend that you watch this tutorial on my channel.
And the second method that I used to decorate the Christmas stocking is with flowers made of fabric. Click here if you want to learn how to make fabric flowers.
