Unpacking and First Impression
Upon receiving the machine, I noticed that it came well protected despite some knocks on the box. The product was wrapped with soft and resistant material, ensuring that it arrived in perfect condition. The machine is quite heavy, which in my opinion is an advantage, as it provides stability when making cuts and engravings.

The working area of this machine is 19.6″ x 31.5″, providing plenty of space to work on large projects. In addition, it includes an instruction manual and a calibration card for the camera in case you decide to use Lightburn.

Air Assist and Integrated Safety
One of the aspects that impressed me the most was the Air Assist. This system improves cuts and reduces waste, but the most interesting thing is that it includes a flame extinguishing pump. It can be filled with water and, if at any time a fire is detected, the system automatically extinguishes it. This demonstrates Atomstack’s commitment to user security.

Dual Laser Module and Featured Features
The Atomstack Craft incorporates a dual laser module, which combines a diode laser 20W and an infrared laser 1.2W on a single machine. This means there is no need to change modules, making it easier to work on different materials.
On the front, we find the laser mode selector button, autofocus and alarm. On the left side are the connections and the antenna. It also has a built-in camera that improves engraving precision and makes it easier to view the work area in the software.

My Tests with the Atomstack Kraft Machine
Throughout my tutorial, I performed several tests with different materials and designs:
1.- Cut out of kraft cardboard: I used the program Atomstack Studio and default parameters for cutting personalized envelopes and cards. The cuts were precise, making this machine ideal for stationery projects.

2.- Engraving on wooden coaster: I customized a wooden coaster with precise engraving, ideal for decorations or gifts. I used Lightburn to create the design and the result was incredible, with sharp and well-defined details. With its large working area, I’m excited to start engraving cutting boards for my personalization business using this machine.

3.- Engraving on stainless steel: I used the infrared laser to engrave a stainless steel bottle opener, also using the default parameters of Atomstack Studio. The engraving was excellent, with clear and well-defined details.

4.- Graduation door hanger: Finally, I used 3 sheets of 3mm balsa wood to create a graduation door hanger. I used both cutting and engraving to test the machine’s ability to work with thicker materials. This design comes in format Layered SVG, which makes it easier to create the project. If you want to use this design, you can download it here.

I also cut and engraved in 3m opaque black acrylic and the machine cut and engraved it perfectly. It also worked very well with 3mm genuine leather, achieving clean cuts and sharp engravings.
How Can This Machine Help You?
If you are a crafter who loves to customize all types of objects or are looking to expand your possibilities in engraving and cutting projects, this machine is an excellent option. Its ability to work with multiple materials such as wood, acrylic, leather and metal makes it a versatile tool for entrepreneurs, craftsmen or even for DIY projects at home.
Machine Configuration
To start using the machine, you need to install the laser module, connect the air assist and ventilation hose. Next, you connect the USB cable from the machine to the computer, as well as the bootable USB key. To ensure safe work, I filled the air assist system with water, allowing automatic fire extinguishing if necessary.

Air Purifier (Optional but Recommended)
Atomstack also offers an air purifier (sold separately), ideal for those working indoors. It includes multi-layer filters and has wheels for easy transport. Its main function is to reduce smoke and odors generated by laser engraving.

Software Installation: Atomstack Studio and Lightburn
The machine can be configured with Atomstack Studio, the official software, which is easy to use. It is also compatible with Lightburn, a payment program with advanced tools. Setup in both programs is simple and allows you to calibrate the camera for precise recording. If you would like to learn about this process, I invite you to watch my complete guide HERE.
