Step 1: T-Shirt Preparation
The advantage of this method is that you can use a wide variety of fabric types and colors. You can customize in cotton, polyester or blends, as well as in light and dark colors. You can purchase the blank t-shirts at your favorite store. I like to order them from Blankstyle, or Jiffy.com since they offer a wide variety of blank t-shirts, perfect to be personalized with your designs and the prices are very affordable. They have wholesale prices.

Step 2: Designing Your T-shirts
Prepare your preferred images. There are many online places that offer creative designs of all kinds to personalize t-shirts. I like to create my own designs in Inkscape. [Find tutorials on how to create designs in Inkscape on my YouTube channel]. I almost always upload these designs to my blog so that anyone who wants them can access them for free. When I’m in a hurry or need a specific design or image, my favorite is Creative Fabrica, as they offer a wide variety of designs and images for all kinds of customizations.
Step 3: Preparing the Designs
Use the Ninja Transfers printing service to print your designs. The process of ordering prints from Ninja Transfers generally follows these steps:
- Access the Website: Visit the official Ninja Transfers website and create an account if you don’t already have one. If you already have an account, log in.
- Select Product and Customization: Navigate through the website to find the DTF print section and choose the print size you want to order.
- Upload Your Design: Upload the design you want to print in the appropriate format (usually high-resolution image files like PNG). Be sure to follow the instructions on size and resolution of the design to get the best results.
- Arrange All Desired Images: Try to organize all the images you want to take advantage of the print. You can orient them either vertically or horizontally.

Review and Confirm Your Order: Before finalizing your order, carefully review all the details to ensure they are correct. Verify the total cost of the order, including shipping charges and any additional fees. Once you’re satisfied with all the details, proceed to confirm your order and make the payment. Depending on the location and workload of Ninja Transfers, delivery times may vary. My orders arrive super fast. [Approximately 3 to 7 days].
Receive and Verify Your Order: Once you receive your order, check that all the DTF prints are correct and according to your specifications. If you find any issues or discrepancies, contact Ninja Transfers’ customer service as soon as possible to resolve it.

Step 4: Applying the Designs
Cut the printed designs and make sure to remove any excess paper around the design edges.

Use a lint remover to eliminate any remaining lint or residue. Place the design in the desired position on the t-shirt and secure it in place with heat-resistant tape. Place a butcher paper sheet or a Teflon sheet on top of the design to protect the fabric and the design during the transfer process.

Step 5: Heat Press Transfer
Adjust the temperature and time on the heat press. I press them at 315°F for 15 seconds.

After pressing, let it cool and carefully remove the transparent sheet.

Step 6: Finishing and Presentation
Fold and package your custom t-shirts in an attractive way for presentation and sale. Check out this tutorial for packaging ideas.
