These napkins will be double sided, with borders and with perfect mitered corners. If you think it’s complicated, don’t worry. The process is very easy! In less than 10 minutes you will have your first double-sided cloth napkin.
For this process you can use the fabric of your choice, be it linen, cotton or polyester. I will be using cotton fabric with Pioneer Woman patterns. I loved the designs and the colors. Just what I was looking for to decorate my table for the spring and summer season.
Once finished, you could also decorate them with napkin rings if you wish. I will decorate them with Totally Dazzled napkin rings. They have a wide variety of napkin rings for all occasions. Visit their website to explore all the beautiful variety of items they offer.

Step 1
Prepare the fabric with the measurements listed on the picture below.

Step 2
Mark lines around the fabric that measures 16″ by 16″. Mark the first line 1/2″ down from the edge and the second line 2″ down as shown in the photo below.

Iron to make creases on the marked lines.

Step 3
Now we are going to work on the mitered corners. Fold the corners in half with the right side of the fabric facing in.

Fold the first crease 1/2″. Then fold the corner to meet the second green arrow.

Form a small triangle. As seen in the photo below.

Iron to form a crease and mark it with a washable fabric pencil or chalk.

Secure with pins or clips and cut leaving a 1/4″ margin. Do the same for the other corners.

Sew in all four corners and then turn to the right side of the fabric.

Step 4
Iron to define hem and corners. If you don’t want to make double fabric napkins, you could sew the hem and leave it that way. In this case I will make them double sided.

Arrange the fabric that measures 14 1/2″ x 14 1/2″ inside and iron.

Pin and sew around.

Voila!!!
Here is your first double-sided cloth napkin. As you can see, the process is super easy and they are beautiful!!
