I just made the cutest compost bin ever, and I’m so excited to share this project with you! I received a bundle of beautiful Teckwrap adhesive vinyl in my favorite colors, and it was the perfect excuse to finally personalize my brand new compost bin.

Unboxing the Vinyl Bundle
There’s nothing like opening a fresh package of vinyl! I got a Teckwrap full of stunning colors and couldn’t wait to try it. I knew I wanted a simple but sweet botanical theme and maybe a little bird to give it charm.

Where I got the bin?
I got the compost bin from Amazon. There are two options here to choose.
Choosing the Design
I found the perfect botanical SVG on Creative Fabrica, plus an adorable bird illustration that matched the vibe I wanted: 14 Hand-Drawn Flowers and Leaves SVG, Robin Bird SVG
I uploaded both to Cricut Design Space and adjusted the size to fit my compost bin. For the font, I used this super cute one: Cupid’s Candies
Cutting with Cricut
Using the “Vinyl” setting on my Cricut machine, I cut out the design in three simple layers:
- Background base: two soft pastel shades for a subtle, layered look
- Botanical tracing + sweet little bird: cut in a dark tone for contrast
🌿 Botanical SVG Design
🐦 Robin Bird SVG - Flower petals: a vibrant red to make them pop 🌺
Everything cut so smoothly — Teckwrap’s adhesive vinyl has a great texture and was super easy to weed.

Layer by Layer Transfer
To apply the design, I used Teckwrap’s transfer tape, placing each layer with care. The process was smooth and clean — I loved watching my compost bin come to life with every press and peel!

The Final Result
Now my compost bin isn’t just functional — it’s adorable! I absolutely love how it turned out: minimalist, earthy, and perfectly me, with a soft handmade touch that adds personality to my kitchen.
