Cricut: Printable Care Cards for HTV and Iron On T-Shirts {3 FREE Designs}

I am very happy to share with you the printable care cards for HTV and Iron On T-Shirts and the process on how to make them with Cricut.

These cards are perfect to hand out along with your Iron On personalized t-shirts or garments. Iron On personalized garments are beautiful but for them to last as expected, we must take certain care when washing them. Personally, I consider it necessary to attach a card with the care list to the product. In this way we avoid misunderstandings in case the custom item is damaged by not following the supplied washing instructions.

I have designed 3 different styles of printable washing instructions cards so that you can download the one you like the most. I will be using the program from Cricut Design Space to work with the design and my Cricut Maker to make the cuts.

INSTRUCTIONS OF HOW TO MAKE PRINTABLE CARE CARDS FOR HTV:

MATERIALS:

Design#1

The first one is rectangular and with enough space to put your own information. I love this one since it can also serve as a business card and you can cut it with any cutting machine like Cricut or Silhouette and even with scissors or guillotine.

Step 1: Working with the Design.

Download the FREE PATTERN HERE and save it on your computer.

Open the Cricut Design Space program and insert the template you downloaded from my website. This template is in PNG transparent background format so you won’t have to clean it.

The measurements for this card will be 3.065 “by 6.75”. At the bottom you will see that there is a space where you can put your own information. Either phone number, email, website, facebook, instagram, etc.

When finish customizing, duplicate it. You will be able to print 3 on the same page. Put the three cards together, align them and make sure the group measures 6.75 by 9.25 “, select all three and press attach. Remember that the largest measurement you can print and cut with the Cricut machine is 6.75” by 9.25 “.

Step 2: Printing

Now we are going to print. Press Make it. Select the printer you are going to use, deselect bleed, select use system dialog and press print. Don’t have a printer? Do not worry!! Instead of selecting the printer, select Microsoft Print to PDF and save it in an easy-to-access folder. Then you can go print it at a printing company or a friend and go back to cut it on your Cricut machine.

Then the first window will come out. Select again the printer to use, press preferences and the second window will appear. Here you must select the paper you are going to use. I will be using glossy photo paper. Select glossy photo paper for media type. And in quality select high.

Make sure it says letter size paper and press ok and print. [If you are using matte cardstock without gloss, be sure to select matte photo paper].

Step 3: Cutting

While printing, let’s select the material to cut. In this case select photo paper. When cutting, remember to position the cardstock as shown on the screen.

After cutting and if you wish, you can decorate with ribbon or tulle to give it a unique touch.

DESIGN #2

This second design has the silhouette of a t-shirt. It’s smaller and you can print and cut up to 6 on a single letter-size page using the Cricut machine.

The process is the same as the first card but with different measurements. Each card should measure 3,067 “by 3,359”. Place 6 in this way and press attach. Proceed to print and cut as we did in step 2 and 3 of the first card.

Design #3

This last design is in the shape of a circle. You can print it the size of your liking.

Also, you could add your business information around the circle. Using the curved option in Cricut Design Space.

And if you want to add your own instructions, I will also leave the blank template with this background design so that you can download it and fill it with your information. [Download HERE without the watermark]

I like to print 6 on the same page [3 Inches each] and I cut a small hole in the upper part to put a ribbon and give it a unique touch. Once it is ready as you wish, proceed to print and cut as as we did in step 2 and 3 of the first card.
