Place and align all the layers of fabric together. Cotton fabric outside and polyester fabric inside. Cut 1 ½ ”by 1 ½” or 4×4 cm squares at the bottom corners of the bag.

NOTE: Place cotton fabric first, straps second and the polyester fabric on top.
Secure with pins and sew leaving a 1cm or 3/8 ”seam allowance..
The strap or ribbon and iron by folding the edge next to the cotton fabric or lining fabric.
Top Stitch on the side of the cotton fabric or lining.
Sewing the bag:
– Place and align the two layers together with the straps on the inside
– Secure with pins,
– Mark a space of 5 ”= 12 1 / 2cm to leave a hole to be able to turn the bag over when finishing the seams.
– Leave 1cm or 3/8 ” seam allowance. Sew around leaving the corners and the space previously marked.
After sewing around, remove the pins and sew on the corners.
Turn it inside out, iron and sew the space left in the lining.
Iron and top stitch at the top of the bag leaving a 1cm or 3/8 inch seam allowance.
You already have your tote bag ready to use it like this or to personalize it with the method that suits you best.
