Step-by-Step: My Process
🧰 Easy Assembly — Just Needed a Little Help!
Before diving into printing, I want to highlight how easy it was to assemble both the printer stand and the powder shaker unit. The components came well-organized and nicely protected in wooden crates, and although the machines are a bit heavy, the setup process was straightforward and intuitive.
I personally needed a bit of help to lift and move everything into place — so if you’re like me and prefer not to lift heavy equipment, I recommend having someone assist you for safety. Once positioned, everything came together quickly and smoothly, with clearly labeled parts and simple instructions. It was a great start to what turned out to be a very seamless DTF experience!
To use the Lancelot M1630 Pro effectively:
- Setup the printer with your DTF film roll.
- Make sure you’re working in a well-ventilated area. I placed the vent hose outdoors from my garage to avoid inhaling any fumes.
- Adjust your printer settings on the screen:
- Preheating Temperature: 80°C
- Drying Area: 125°C
- Powder Shaker Speed: 5
- Spraying Speed: 2
- Once the design is printing, the powder is applied automatically and the film passes through the curing oven.
- The finished film rolls up neatly on the take-up reel.
- After printing, cut the film and it’s ready to press onto fabric.
Pressing the Transfer
You’ll need a heat press to apply the design:
- Pre-press your shirt for 10 seconds at 320°F to remove moisture and wrinkles.
- Use a lint roller to clean the fabric.
- Place the DTF transfer on the shirt, cover with a Teflon sheet, and press for 20 seconds at 320°F with 80kg of pressure.
- Let it cool completely, peel the film, then do a second press with the film placed back and covered by Teflon for 10 more seconds.
The result? A beautifully vibrant and soft design – and the process was smooth and super fast!
