Getting Started: Setting Up the Accessories
In my previous video, I showed how to use the WeCreat Lumos without accessories—ideal for beginners working on small projects. But this time, we’ll explore everything you can do with the rotary tool, the auto-sliding base, and even both at once.
These add-ons allow you to personalize:
- Small items like rings and metal cards
- Medium objects like wooden boards
- Large cylindrical pieces like 40 oz tumblers and even baseball bats
Engraving a 20-Inch Solid Wood Board
Using the auto-sliding base, I engraved a 17-inch design onto a 20-inch long solid wood board:
- Open WeCreat Make It software
- Go to the top right corner and switch from Laser Flat to Auto Slider
- Place your material on the work area and manually adjust the focus (align red and blue dots using the dial on the back)
- Refresh the preview and confirm the updated image
- Import and adjust your design to fit within the engraving area
- Select your material type (e.g. wood) and apply the automatic settings
- Hit Start, then Framing to make sure the design is positioned correctly
- If all looks good, hit Send and let the WeCreat Lumos work its magic

The final result? A deep, defined engraving on hardwood. I finished it with Watco Butcher Block Oil, a food-safe varnish that enhances both protection and appearance. I used it simple decoration to enhance my living room mantel.

Bulk Engraving: Metal Business Cards
One of my favorite features is the ability to engrave multiple items at once. I used the auto-slider to personalize five coated metal cards simultaneously:
- Place them side by side
- Add five individual designs in the software
- Use framing to ensure alignment
- Hit start and watch it engrave them all at once!

These cards can be used as thank-you notes, promo inserts, or branding tags for your products. You can even engrave the back with your website or logo.

Personalizing Cylindrical Items with the Rotary Tool
Next, I switched to the rotary accessory to engrave a mini tumbler:
- Switch from Laser Flat to Laser Cylindrical
- Place the tumbler on the rotary tool
- Refresh the preview and input the tumbler’s measurements (perimeter and diameter)
- Insert your design and adjust placement
- Optional: remove background using the magic wand
- Choose engraving parameters: I used 100% power, 100 speed, and adjusted the DPI to 500 for a sharper result
- Frame the design and then hit start

The tiny text came out super clean and crisp, proving how precise the WeCreat Lumos can be even on small curved surfaces.
The Ultimate Combo: Long Tumblers with Rotary + Auto Slider
To take things up a notch, I combined the auto-sliding base and the rotary attachment to personalize a skinny tumbler that required a longer design.
- Connect the slider to the Auxiliary port and the rotary to the Rotary port on the Lumo
- Place the tumbler, level it using the included bubble level
- In the software, select Auto Slider + Rotary as your mode
- Enter your tumbler’s perimeter and diameter, import and position your design
- Adjust engraving settings (I used 100% power, 150 density)
- Frame the design to ensure perfect alignment
- Hit Start – engraving took around 25 minutes

After a quick wipe with a Magic Eraser sponge, the tumbler looked stunning—elegant, durable, and completely unique.
